Mrs Sarah Bennion

After completing my undergraduate degree at Keele University and then my Masters’ Degree and PGCE at the University of York, I joined St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy’s History department in September 1997. I became subject leader the following year and then Head of Year 7 a couple of years’ later. In 2006 I became Assistant Principal which has provided a wide experience of secondary education and a particular interest in primary to secondary transition and line management/coaching of staff members. In more recent years, I have led St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy’s curriculum development and now have responsibility for curriculum development across the Newman Catholic Collegiate. I became Staff Director in 2020 with a desire to being integral within the Collegiate and its future growth.
