Mr Matthew Corrigan

Matt joined the Newman Catholic Collegiate in September 2021, with a background in teaching and youth ministry.

After graduating from the University of the West of England with a degree in law, he spent 3 years with Sion Catholic Community for Evangelism as a member of their Youth Mission Team, visiting schools and parishes to share the good news of Jesus.

He then went on to study for a PGCE in Secondary Education and spent 4 years teaching Religious Education at a school in Southampton, taking on the position of Second in RE with a focus on developing the RE curriculum at KS3.

Matt is passionate about children and young people having the opportunity to encounter the love of Jesus, walking alongside young people in their faith journey and works across the Collegiate with the RE leads to support the Catholic life of all our schools.
