Mrs Rebecca Munden

Rebecca is an Assistant Principal at St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy with responsibility for transition throughout the Newman Catholic Collegiate. Since joining the Academy in September 2013 as a Teacher of Mathematics she has held various roles including Head of Year 7 and Second in Mathematics.

She is a Specialist Leader in Mathematics and has formed a close link with the Maths Excellence Partnership. In July 2019 she was offered the opportunity of a lifetime to visit Singapore to observe the teaching of Mastery in Mathematics and she now works with teaching staff from across the city to share good practice. She is also a White Rose Trainer and is passionate about the teaching of the subject through from Early Years to Further Education and beyond!

Another aspect of Rebecca’s role is to provide transition opportunities for children in the Collegiate to experience the fantastic teaching and facilities that St Margaret Ward has to offer.

Rebecca works in collaboration with The Hubb Foundation on behalf of the Newman Catholic Collegiate and with her enthusiasm and drive, works with staff from across our nine schools to create memorable school holiday activities and experiences for our children.
